GroupCalendar fully supports Dynamics CRM RU12 (Polaris) and cross-browser compatibility

Our GroupCalendar for MS Dynamics CRM 2011 fully supports CRM RU12 (Polaris).
Up to now, the only workaround was to open the GroupCalendar in a new Internet Explorer-window.
Up from v5.45, GroupCalendar opens again directly within CRM. Furthermore, Chrome and Firefox are also fully supported by the GroupCalendar. This release also supports older CRM Rollups!


How to open GroupCalendar from a CRM entity record

Up from GroupCalendar version 5.37 it is possible to embed GroupCalendar into a CRM entity. GroupCalendar will display all activities for which the currently opened record is set as Regarding

In this mode, all users will be listed in the GroupCalendar’s Gantt and TopDown View without the option to hide some of them.

Also, you cannot change the displayed users/team when opening the GroupCalendar from an entity.


How to show working hours and time-off in GroupCalendar

Since CRM 2011, it is possible to specify working hours and time-off (e.g. vacation) for each user and resource.  With GroupCalendar v5.37 or higher, it is now possible to show these working hours and the time-off.


GroupCalendar online license notification

Per default, GroupCalendar will show 10 days prior to the license expires a notification to all users (see Figure 1).

The notification can be limited to specific users and you can set the date of its first appearance.


GroupCalendar Gantt View: Custom columns in the user list

Up from version 5.24 you have the possibility to customize the user pane of the Gantt view.


How to display various activity-attributes within multiple rows in Gantt view

This blog article will walk you through the required steps on how to install GroupCalendar and ActivityTools in a claims-based environment.

This article is valid for GroupCalendar for CRM 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2016 but only for CRM 2013 and older versions of ActivityToolsFrom CRM 2015 onwards ActivityTools does not have to be configured for IFD anymore!

The steps are the same for both products, so instead of an explicit product name, we will use the term the addon in this guide.
