The below chart provides you with an overview of the possible configuration scenarios of CRM and SharePoint
together with DocumentsCorePack and AutoMerge for CRM 2011


Issues with the automatic generation of folder locations in CRM Online and SharePoint Online
If you you experience issues with the automatic generation of SharePoint Online folder locations for the CRM integrated Sharepoint solution,
this article provides you with a solution. (For both, DocumentsCorePack and Automerge, the steps are the same.)
Please note: These steps are only necessary, if you have performed an upgrade of DocumentsCorePack or Automerge previously
and now, the automatic folder creation does not work for one of these addons any longer for CRM SharerPoint Online.


Addon-Update Behaviour (valid for builds from 1st March 2013 and beyond)

 

When you launch an upgrade installation of our products, the setup will update existing files and solutions in CRM. The default behaviour of upgrading a product installation has changed with all releases after 1st of March, 2013.


How to merge a document

This article outlines how to merge and process a document using the DocumentsCorePack addon. In general, you have two possibilities for merging a document:

  • trigger the mailmerge process from within MS Word
  • trigger the mailmerge process from within CRM

A list of document-processing steps offered by DocumentsCorePack and feasible with one single click can be found at the end of this article.


How to use the [Insert as HTML]-button in Open Office XML templates (.docx)?

INTRODUCTION

 This feature enables you to easily insert contents (pictures, texts, etc.) into documents which have been added to a CRM record via HTML editor. The functionality interprets HTML codes stored in CRM and to display the contents appropriately in merged documents. Furthermore, the last version of DocumentsCorePack enables users to insert pictures into documents (for more details about this functionality, please click here).

Addon: DocumentsCorePack 


CreateActivitiesFor: Advanced Settings

This feature extends the existing CreateActivitiesFor-property of DocumentsCorePack.

This article covers the configuration, an example and the technical details of this feature.

To take adavantage of this feature, you need at least the following version of DocumentsCorePack:

 - DocumentsCorePack Client for MS CRM 2011 v5.76


Insecure content warning in IE when using FileExplorer with IFD

If you have configured your CRM for IFD and also have enabled our FileExplorer Integration, Internet Explorer (IE) will either not load the FileExplorer or show a message about insecure content.

If you run into this problem, please follow the steps below to resolve this issue.


[Save as DOCX]-button

This  feature offers you the option to save a document directly to the proper location in CRM without having to generate an activity. 
The location depends on the configuration, which is defined within the DocumentsCorePack server configuration tool.

To take adavantage of this new feature you need at least the following version:

 - DocumentsCorePack Client for MS CRM 2011 5.73


Advanced template-group filtering

This feature offers the possibility to set a filter for DocumentsCorePack templates.
Templates are filtered based on the template-group they are assigned to.
Applying filter limits, the available templates are grouped in template-groups.
This prevents users from getting confused by a variety of available templates as they can only see and select templates of the corresponding template-group defined by the applied filter.

To take advantage of this feature you need at least both of the following versions:

 - DocumentsCorePack Server for MS CRM 2011 5.36

 - DocumentsCorePack Client for MS CRM 2011 5.73


If/else-conditions in *.docx templates

It is often required to place conditional fields within a template like e.g. only print address lines when stored in the regarding CRM-record.
