TI client interprets outgoing calls as incoming calls
When dialling out with TI Client, an outgoing call may be interpreted as an incoming call. This happens, if the the installed TAPI driver does not deliver the DialTone event.
If the TAPI driver delivers the DialTone event, the driver interprets the call as an outgoing call. Otherwise, the driver interprets the call as an incoming call. In order to avoid the latter case, you have to set a new CRM settingskey for TelephoneIntegration.

To do so, please follow this steps below:
1. Open your CRM in the Internet Explorer
2. Navigate to the CRM Settings

Figure 1: CRM Settings in the CRM sitemap

3. Select MSCRM-ADDONS.com Products from the Extensions in the menu on the left.
Figure 2: MSCRM-ADDONS.com products in the CRM Settings
4. Check the checkbox in front of TelephoneIntegration (1) and then click on the [Edit]-button (2).
Figure 3: Edit TelephoneIntegration in the CRM Settings

5. A new CRM window opens. Within this window, click on MSCRM-ADDONS.com Settingskeys (1) within the Common-area and then click on the [Add New MSCRM-ADDONS.com Settingskeys]-button (2).
Figure 4: View and add settingskeys for TelephoneIntegration in the CRM settings
6. A new window will open. Within this window, insert the following name and KeyValue. Furthermore, set IsCached on Yes.

Figure 5: Add new settingskey for TelephoneIntegration in the CRM settings
Now save the added key, restart the TelephonIntegration Client and make an outgoing call.
If the outgoing call is still interpreted as an incoming call, change the name of the settingskey from useDialingEvent to NoDialToneDetected. Save the changes, restart the TelephoneIntegration Client and retry an outgoing call.

Recap: eXtremeCRM 2013 in Rome

Thank you for joining us at the eXtremeCRM 2013 in Rome! It was great meeting you there!

The eXtremeCRM in Rome was an awesome experience for us. Arriving in beautiful Rome with sunshine and mild temperatures around 15 degrees, we checked in to the Rome Marriott Park Hotel and were delighted by the comfortable and beautiful ambience. As we arrived two days earlier, we did not hesitate to start discovering the beautiful city during a sightseeing tour on Saturday, visiting the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Saint Peter’s Cathedral and many more of the impressing sights.

Figure 1: Sightseeing in Rome

Very motivated and excited about the upcoming event, we started to set up our booth on Sunday. During the official opening on Sunday evening and the following days, we enjoyed very interesting keynotes and sessions providing us with essential and highly valuable information regarding Dynamics CRM and other topics. Gaining these information, we now feel prepared for approaching trends, changes and partner-/customer-requirements.

How to install and add a printer before using it with DocumentsCorePack

With DocumentsCorePack for MS Dynamics On-Premise/Online, you can print dynamically generated documents automatically on a specific printer.

But before you can start to use this functionality, there are several things to do. Because DocumentsCorePack runs as service with a service user, you have to install the printer as described in the steps below to ensure that the service user has access.

How to install a printer which is visible for services:

  • Go to the Control Panel > Devices and Printers
  • Click on Add a printer
  • It is very important to select Add a local printer

    Figure 1: Add local printer
  • Step through the rest of the wizard and create a new port.
  • Type in a simple name for the printer without using spaces. This makes it easier for you to retype the printer name in the different workflows of DocumentsCorePack

Figure 2: Type in a random name for the printer
  • Finally, please try to print a test-page to see if the printer works correctly.

Predictive dialer: How to reschedule of a phone call

This blog article describes how to reschedule a phone call when using the predictive dialer of TelephoneIntegration.

After hanging up, the caller has three options to post-process the call.

  • Mark the call as successful (The call is marked as completed, because the purpose of the campaign call has been fulfilled, e.g. to get a customer’s feedback regarding a specific product.)
  • Mark the call as failed (The call is marked as completed, but the purpose of the campaign call has not been fulfilled, e.g. the customer refused to give a feedback.)
  • Reschedule the call (The call is rescheduled and can be processed again.)

Figure 1: Predictive Dialer post-processing options for calls

When you select the Rescheduling-option, a calendar window pops up. The caller can determine a time and date to process the call again. In the example shown below, the call agent has selected the 31st of December at 11:30 pm. Hence, this campaign phone-call will be available for calling again after the 31st of December 11:30 pm.
