How to start a dashboard out of CRM 4.0?

CRM 4.0 offers the possibility to start your dashboard directly out of CRM. There are three options.

Lösung: Mit dem Trendmicro Performance tuning Tool (siehe Link) eine Ausnahme auf die CallInfoCRM4.exe erstellen.

Die Ausnahme wird, obwohl im TM Artikel nicht erwähnt, in die globale Konfiguration aufgenommen. 


AttachDocumentToEachCreatedActivity

This function allows DocumentsCorePack users to add a document to every created activity (only when using the file explorer or sharepoint setup).

For example, when you send a mail to a marketing lists, an activity will be created for each member of the marketing list.

This extra setting will ensure that the activity also has the document attached in CRM.

This article will show you how to work with this function.

Downgrade KDTele.ocx

To downgrade the KDTele-tools in order to use the previous event-model, simply donwload the downgrade package from:

http://62.99.232.162/TI/downgrade.zip

and extract the package into a “downgrade” folder within the installation directory of the TelephonIntegration (TI) - Client component.


Error message 401: Unauthorized when trying to access after deploying a custom web-application

The problem occurs because MS CRM is using an HttpModule for multitenancy scenarios. This http module is called with an anonymous user account. This is why it fails when trying to request, i.e. the metadata webservice.


How to configure different colors for activities in the Gantt View

Please note: Requires GC v4.61 or higher

There are four settings in the GC settings named

  • GanttColorAppointment1: Color 1 for specified appointment status codes
  • GanttColorAppointment2: Color 2 for specified appointment status codes
  • GanttColorServiceApp1: Color 1 for specified serviceappoinmtent status codes
  • GanttColorServiceApp2: Color 2 for specified serviceappointment status codes


Get rid of the presence information

We realized, that after installing Live Messenger we do not see the Contact/System User icon anymore in our MS CRM system.

Instead we get this IM presence icon. In 99,9 % it is grey because no one has all the CRM contacts in his Messenger and therefore it is uninteresting for our users.

I now tried to find out how we can turn this off and it is not very easy to find information about this presence information.
